![]() I don't recommend using UG's tab player because it absolutely mangles playback of most tabs. The download link for the actual Guitar Pro file is at the bottom of the page. You don't need to pay for UG Pro to use this tab (as long as you have Guitar Pro). This is also probably why in the recording the bass is so prominent compared to the guitar. The bass needs all the low end for this song to work, otherwise the bass and guitar will clash pretty hard. Because of this, if you're playing Claudio's part along with the bass, they will actually clash in the low end if you don't EQ the hell out of your guitar tone with a high pass filter. One kinda weird thing I noticed: Zach is surprisingly only playing a regular 4-string bass tuned to standard, even though Claudio's playing a much lower and heavier 8-string guitar. There are a few sections (prechorus, bridge) where Travis (I think) is playing some really nice, subtle harmonized volume swells with harmonics. The verse riff also relies heavily on the ol' slide and pull-off to an open string trick.Tbh the video demonstrates it better than I can. ![]() The gist is, you continue the motion from hammering on to the E / 7th string 5th fret as if you were hammering on to 7 on that same string, but instead it's up a string. If you take a look at the 3rd note of the riff (the first of the repeated B's on the 6th string 7th fret), it isn't actually picked – it's a hammer-on from nowhere / cold hammer.
